Performance of delta modulation algorithms on noisy channels
Abstract
In this work the performance of delta modulation techniques in presence of the channel noise is evaluated. Analytical expressions for upper and lower bounds on rms error are derived in the case of memoryless channels. Such bounds can be applied both to classical and adaptive delta modulation algorithms.
