Nonlinear oscillations of a gas in a pipe open at one end
Abstract
An approximate acoustical theory of resonant oscillations in an open pipe is proposed. A nonlinear boundary condition is imposed at the open end, and the nonlinearity of the oscillations inside the pipe is assumed to be weak. Good agreement is obtained between the theory and experiment.
