Transonic flow of a relaxing gas past a heat-release layer
Abstract
A new equation is derived as a basis for solving the one-dimensional nonlinear unsteady problem of transonic flow of a slightly nonequilibrium gas past a thermal layer. The phase portrait of the system is described for low-frequency attenuation. The amplitude of the disturbance is determined as a function of the attenuation for various flow velocities.
