Pulsations of cosmic rays before solar proton bursts from ground-based observational data
Abstract
Fluctuations of the neutron component of cosmic rays during 11 solar flares in the period from 1967 to 1981 are investigated on the basis of five-minute data of ground stations. It is found that pulsations of cosmic rays with periods of 30-40, 60-90, and, rarely, 120-160 min are observed a day before the rise in the flux of relativistic particles from a solar flare.
