Data report. Volume 2: Velocity and temperature profile data for accelerating, transitional boundary layers
Abstract
Experimental research has been conducted to examine the combined effects of free-stream turbulence and favorable pressure gradients on flat-wall transitional boundary layers. Convective heat transfer coefficients, boundary layer mean velocity and temperature profile data, and wall static pressure distribution data were obtained for four combinations of free-stream turbulence intensity and favorable pressure gradient. Free-stream multi-component turbulence intensity, longitudinal integral scale, and spectral distributions were obtained for the various test cases. Mean velocity and temperature profile data for the individual boundary layer traverses are presented in this report.
