Computer programs used for temperature calculations
Abstract
A program package which simulates satellite temperature, either in orbit or in a space environment simulator, is decomposed into its various modules and explained. The geometry of the external structure of the satellite is given as a simplified geometrical model. Only external heat sources are taken into account and their flux densities are supposed known. The object of the program is to determine the heat transfer between the different satellite parts. The radiative transfer coefficients are derived. A system of heat budget equations which give satellite temperature, either for a transient regime or for steady state is presented.
