Spectrum resource assessment in the 216-225 MHz band
Abstract
A spectrum resource assessment of the 216-225 MHz frequency band is given. Included is information on allocations, technical standards, frequency assignments and system characteristics. The 216-255 MHz band is in transition from being a radar band to mobile communications. Present and future uses of the band are examined. Recommendations are presented regarding the planning of the band and new mobile service uses. One new use proposed is the the Federal Government low power non-critical communications.
