Engines with a wide range of thrust changes
Abstract
It is shown that the continuous variation of engine thrust in a wide range makes it possible to significantly expand the experimental possibilities of liquid-propellant rocket engines. Attention is given to problems involving the development of the working process in liquid rocket engines with continuous variation of thrust, and an analysis is presented of various methods of thrust control, assuring satisfactory combustion stability and efficiency. The design of fuel nozzles for engines which utilize continuous thrust variation is described
