SAR response to uniform random scenes
Abstract
In order to establish sensitivity of SAR/processor response to resolution/look tradeoff, possible focus error, and filter envelope functions; and to describe spectral/correlation properties caused by the system so that spectral properties due to the scene may be observed, 1st and 2nd order statistics are derived for SAR output with (1) uniform (Gaussian) distributed input, (2) minimum restraints on SAR and processor; and (3) general multilook case. An output correlation function is found to be necessary to fully describe the system, together with impulse response.
