The nonlinear interaction of light waves of complex space-time structure in cubic media
Abstract
The theory of the nonlinear interaction of fields with complex space-time structure in inertial cubic media is developed. Equations are obtained which are used to study the characteristics of the resulting wave-front reversal (WFR). An analysis is presented of the nonlinear dynamics of WFR in the case of four-wave interaction under conditions of two-quantum resonance. Experimental results are presented on WFR produced as the result of the interaction of counterpropagating light waves in a liquid.
