Line-rate energy dispersal waveforms for FM TV
Abstract
Line-rate TV energy dispersal waveforms are studied with the objective of reducing the co-channel interference potential of FM TV carriers. Simulation and experimental test results show that the line-rate waveforms produce 8- to 11-dB reduction of interference with respect to the SCPC carrier as compared with the presently used frame-rate waveforms. TV subjective tests verify that the waveforms can be effectively removed to well below perceptible level.
