An introduction to nonNewtonian fluid mechanics
Abstract
The basic equations of fluid dynamics are discussed and the need for constitutive equations (for rheological equations of state) that are more complicated than that for Newtonian fluids. Some of the experiments are discussed which prove conclusively that polymeric liquids are nonNewtonian.
