Wave-front conjugation by degenerate four- and six-photon mixing in semiconductors
Abstract
Compensation for the self-action effect's influence on phase conjugation, by misalignment of the pump wave, is demonstrated for the case of amplified, phase-conjugate wave generation by degenerate fourand six-photon mixing in SiC, CdS and ZnSe semiconductors. The sign and magnitude of the misalignment are shown to depend on the type of nonlinearity.
