Thermoelastic deformation in cylindrical shells of great length
Abstract
The utilization of long and slender cylindrical shells, as flexible appendages of satellites, is presented intending to introduce the problem of bending and torsion of thermoelastic origin. A finite element method approach to this problem is proposed.
