Color graphics in ATE
Abstract
Ways in which color graphics can be used to improve the man-machine interface in automatic test equipment (ATE) are explored. Attention is given to the Advanced Electronic Warfare Test Set, which is an ATE designed for the testing of advanced EW systems to which the graphic illustration of a test unit's fault locations is essential. The capabilities of the Abbreviated Test Language for All Systems have been extended for this ATE, in order to output colored textual data as well as graphic displays.
