Scattering properties of anisotropic dielectric gratings and radomes
Abstract
Two types of corrugated dielectric panels are presented, one of which has wedges with heights normal to the panel, and the other of which has wedge heights inclined relative to the panel. Transmittance is measured with a conventional microwave interferometer, where a panel is tilted between two antennas to vary incidence angle. A new scanning interferometer is described, which has a transmitting antenna and panel rotating in fixed relative orientation while a stationary antenna receives the diffracted energy.
