Spread spectrum multiple access communication experiments via satellite
Abstract
This paper presents the results of spread spectrum multiple access communication experiments via a satellite. Experiments were carried out in order to check the performance of the SSRA system by using the Japan's Communication Satellite. These experiments consisted of the following type of test: random access experiment, anti-interference experiment and simultaneous transmission experiment. The experimental results show that the proposed SSRA system has a feasibility of random access communication among a large number of small terminals and that simultaneous transmission of an SSRA and an FM signals is feasible with acceptable qualities.
