Determination of the attitude angles of rapidly spinning geophysical rockets by means of solar and magnetic sensors
Abstract
A method has been developed for determining the attitude of rapidly spinning geophysical rockets with respect to the geomagnetic field strength vector and the direction towards the sun. The method has been developed for the case of regular nutation of the longitudinal axis of the rocket. Attitude measurement errors for this type of system are analyzed, and the method of in-flight calibration of the magnetic sensors is described.
