Acoustooptic correlator with an offset recording plane of the holographic filter
Abstract
It is shown that stringent demands imposed on the dynamic range of the recording medium of holographic filters used in optical correlators with frequency-domain filtering can be substantially alleviated in acoustooptic correlators by offsetting the holographic filter relative to the focus of the integrating lens. Experimental results are presented which indicate that correlators of this type have potential for the processing of various radio signals.
