Explosive generation of electromagnetic radiation in a confined nonequilibrium plasma
Abstract
Explosive instability in an electron beam-plasma system can lead to the generation of intense electromagnetic radiation. A theoretical investigation is presented of explosive instability associated with induced scattering of a slow wave of electron beam charge density by an intrinsic plasma wave in an anisotropic cylinder. The mechanism of electromagnetic wave generation is discussed in detail.
