Tunable organic-dye lasers with automatic control
Abstract
A series of dye lasers tunable over a wide range has been developed for the analysis of trace impurities and atmospheric pollutants. The lasers, which use a unified element base, consist of a pump (300 kW, 7 ns pulsed molecular nitrogen laser) and a lasar radiation converter. The new series features automatic tuning, automatic selection of a dye corresponding to the tuning range, automatic scanning mode selection, and digital wavelength indication.
