Resonant oscillations of a body in a circular orbit under the action of Lorentz forces
Abstract
A theoretical model is developed for the investigation of the motion of a gravity gradient satellite with electrostatic protection about its center of mass. Resonant oscillations arising due to Lorentz forces acting on the surface of the satellite are studied by an averaging method for various cases of nonzero inclination of the orbit.
