Equations for threedegreeoffreedom electric motors containing permanent magnets
Abstract
A mathematical model describing electric motors in which there are permanent magnets and in which the motion of the rotor with respect to the stator is characterized by three degrees of freedom is presented. The permanent magnet is replaced by an equivalent current layer. A system of differential equations of electrical equilibrium is obtained for analyzing motors of this type. It is noted that the equations can be used to calculate currents as well as the components of the electromagnetic moment of motors in which the rotation is extremely rapid. The equations also make it possible to assess the influence of various parameters on the characteristics of the motor.
