Equations of two-stage electrical machines with permanent magnets
Abstract
Differential equations of electrical equilibrium are derived for a two-stage electrical machine with a permanent magnet. These equations can be used to calculate currents and electromagnetic moment components for different operating modes of the machine. The equations can also be used to evaluate the effect of various parameters, including the properties of the magnetic material, on the characteristics of the machine and to simplify models for the design of three-stage electrical machines.
