Linear predictive coding analysis of the voice signal with continuous shifting windows obtained with an iterative computing method
Abstract
An algorithm to compute the autocorrelation coefficients of voice signals, which are used in an iterative way is defined. A linear prediction procedure which utilizes the autocorrelation coefficients for the continuous analysis of the voice signal is presented. An approximation of the voice signal power spectrum, based on one or two poles exponential filters is used to determine the formats of the signal. An experiment was performed using a PDP 11/34 computer and available test signals. As expected, all components of the test signal corresponded to one pole of the approximation spectrum located in the proximity of the unit circle.
