Copper laser diagnostics and kinetics support

A pulsed interferometric hook diagnostic package was developed. The diagnostic package included a dye laser, interferometer, electronic recording instrumentation, mechanical chopper for pulse selection, and a master timing/triggering unit to provide properly timed trigger pulses to fire the dye laser pump and the laser being diagnosed. A copper vapor laser media was provided to be diagnosed. Preliminary testing consisting of pulsed density measurements of Xe metastables in an ZeCL laser using as dye laser pump and spectrometer were performed to checkout the apparatus.
