Electronics for data acquisition of laser gyroscope measurements
Abstract
The electronics for a signal readout system for laser gyroscopes are described. In the analog part of the readout electronics, a single beam readout method was used, enhancing the signal to noise ratio as compared to the interference stripe pattern. Two digital methods for identifying the lock-in-gap and for steering the output counter were investigated. The first is based on identification by monostable multivibrators, the second on identification by a digital comparator.
