Some experiences with the use of castor oil as a dielectric
Abstract
The use of large volumes of castor oil for dielectric purposes is reported. The experiences include corrosion of brass parts by the oil, drying of the oil, and the determination of water in the two-phase system of caster oil in contact with mineral oil. A detailed design of a packed column for drying castor is also presented.
