Multiaccess of a slotted channel by finitely many users
Abstract
The multiaccess problem as characterized by a finite user population and a time-slotted channel with limited feedback is examined. Results pertaining to the relationship among commonly used performance measures are derived, and insight as to the nature of and difficulty in finding an optimal protocol is given. In addition, three restricted but reasonable classes of protocol are defined and examined.
