Resonance frequency and tuning bands of cylindrical dielectric resonators
Abstract
A method is described for determinating the resonance frequency of TE modes of a cylindrical dielectric resonator placed on the top of a dielectric substrate and with fine tuning by means of the adjustable distance from the flat cylinder face to a metallic plate. Curves of the resonance frequency variation as a function of the physical parameters of the resonator are presented. Many of these curves are compared to experimentally measured values, showing an accuracy better than 1.5 percent.
