The plateau regime of the AC conductivity in the disordered 1 d conductors
Abstract
It is shown that for 1 d conductors with static disorder the a.c. conductivity reveals some plateau in its frequency dependence at frequencies larger than the inverse lifetime of the electron in a localized state formed by static defects. The temperature dependence of this plateau conductivity due to electron-electron interactions and acoustic phonons is obtained. The characteristic scale for frequencies is extremely low for low enough temperatures and this fact manifests itself in strong sensitivity of the conductivity data to the field frequency. The experimental situation is discussed.
