Mathematical models of antenna arrays and methods of their numerical realization
Abstract
A survey is presented of recent literature on the development of mathematical models of antenna arrays and their numerical realization. A classification of the numerical methods is presented along with recommendations on their use. Various features of the models and methods are described, including the description of the radiation field by patterns of individual radiators, the representation of the radiation field by equivalent currents in the array aperture, physical assumptions and algebraization of the boundary value problem, a model of array radiators in free space, and a model of an array in the form of an infinite periodic structure.
