Analysis of a multichannel device for signal search with pulse counters
Abstract
The present study examines the characteristics of a multichannel device for the detection of binary-quantized pulsed signals with a nonfixed search time by means of N pulse counters. The operation of the device involves the counting of the quantized pulses appearing on each of the N sections during the search period, and the comparison of each signal repetition period with a given threshold. Results are presented on the effectiveness and signal-noise ratio of this device.
