Mathematical modeling of waveguide antenna arrays with finite dimensions
Abstract
Algorithms are derived for solving electrodynamic boundary value problems formulated for the antenna area of waveguide arrays with small numbers of emitting elements. It is shown that use of algorithms which account for edge effects makes it possible to describe the behavior of an emitter in a real (finite) array more accurately than is possible with infinite array models. The proposed algorithms can be incorporated into computer aided design procedures.
