Resolving power of a synthetic-aperture radar
Abstract
The possibility of improving the azimuthal resolving power of a synthetic-aperture radar is assessed. The azimuthal resolving power is studied as a function of aperture dimensions, wavelength, distance of the radar from the target, and azimuthal dimensions of the antenna. The results can be applied to the analysis of a synthetic-aperture acoustic radar.
