Single-channel cancellers of radio interference in communications systems
Abstract
A survey is presented of the literature on techniques for the separation of signals with the same or different forms of modulation in the same frequency band. An approach to the synthesis of optimal and suboptimal interference cancellers (IFs) is then presented. Data are given which characterize the high cancellation efficiency of interference signals by means of IFs, which makes practical their use in maintaining the electromagnetic compatibility of communications systems. Attention is given to the possibility of using IFs to increase the capacity of FM systems without expanding the frequency band.
