Longitudinal correlation of laser radiation fluctuations in a model turbulent medium
Abstract
The longitudinal correlation of intensity fluctuations in a light beam during its propagation in a model turbulent medium is studied. The coefficient of the longitudinal correlation of intensities R is determined experimentally for two values of the longitudinal separation of the reception points as a function of the dispersion parameter of the intensity fluctuations. These data are compared to the asymptotic R expressions for the regions of weak and strong intensity fluctuations, obtained in the approximation of a plane initial wave.
