Saturation of the coherence function of a wave reflected from discrete scatterers in a turbulent atmosphere
Abstract
An analysis is presented of coherence function saturation for a monochromatic wave reflected from a layer of discrete scatterers in a medium with large-scale random inhomogeneities. It is shown that the coherence function attains a stationary level as the thickness of the layer of scatterers increases.
