Application of the method of normal waves to the study of extended radio paths
Abstract
The method of normal waves is used to develop a procedure for investigating the effect of the geomagnetic field on the attenuation of short-wave signals propagating on extended paths. The efficiency of exciting the earth-ionosphere waveguide by vertical synphase arrays of elementary magnetic dipoles is assessed.
