Large solid angle Lyman-α detector
Abstract
A large solid angle Lyman-α (121.5 nm) detector designed for atomic beam experiments is described. The detector consists of 6 NO photoionization chambers which surround the beam and provide an average detection efficiency for Lyman-α photons of approximately 20% over the 3.5 cm length of the detector.
