Mean heat transfer on turbine blades
Abstract
Theoretical methods for calculating the mean heat transfer coefficients on turbine blades are reviewed; it is shown that such methods available in the literature need to be improved and standardized. A statistical approach using data on 38 turbine blade cascades has been used to develop a method that produces significantly fewer errors in the calculation of mean Nusselt numbers on turbine blades for a wide range of geometrical and flow parameters.
