Reliability of foil strain gauges in multiple cyclic deformations
Abstract
Film tensoresistors 1FKTK-10-200 and 2FKTK-5-100 have been tested for reliability under cyclic load by attaching them to a cantilever beam of 60S2 steel which was subjected to plane symmetrical bending. It is found that the main cause of tensoresistor failure is the fatigue fracture of the lattice. Reliability regions are defined in terms of strain magnitude and fatigue life.
