On the multiplicity of hadrons in QCD jets
Abstract
A threeloop calculation is presented for the jet multiplicity of produced slightlyoffshell gluons for a pure YangMills theory. Planar and nonplanar graphs are found to be equally important in an axial gauge. If the threeloop calculation is indicative of what happens at higher orders overlinen(Q ^{2}) ∝ exp {[( {2C _{A}}/{πb}) 1 n Q ^{2}] ^{{1}/{2}}} where C_{A} = 3 and b = {(33  2n _{f}) }/{12π} in QCD.
