On the Equation of Motion of Superfluid Velocity
Abstract
It is shown how the ``classical'' equations of motion for the condensate can be obtained exactly from microscopic theory. We deal with genuinely inhomogeneous cases of a Bose fluid. We have obtained the effective action functional, from which as the EulerLagrange equation the ``classical'' equations for the condensate are derived. We have derived the fundamental equation of motion for the superfluid velocity, which can be applied even on spatial scales of the size of a vortex core.
