Resonance oscillations in sunspots
Abstract
A model for the 180-sec oscillations observed in the chromosphere above sunspots is developed. In addition, a method is proposed for determining the temperature gradient in the chromosphere along with the value of the temperature minimum and its effective thickness on the basis of the observed oscillation periods.
