Cosmology in bimetric Machian gravitation.
Abstract
A cosmological model is derived from a bimetric Machian theory of gravitation under the assumption that the universe is filled with pure dust matter. In the analysis, the symmetry properties are imposed on the energymomentum tensor, which may be subject to a direct observation, rather than on the metric tensor, the symmetry properties of which follow as a consequence of the gravitational equations. It is noted that the cosmological metric tensor obtained satisfies the cosmological requirements of Infeld and Schild (1945, 1946), for a universe in which the fundamental particles are at rest. Solutions of the cosmological equations for the Hubble, deceleration and sigma_{0} parameters appear to require the existence of intergalactic matter.
