Some results of numerical simulation of laminar flow in a rotating magnetic field
Abstract
A solution is obtained to the induction problem concerning the steady motion of a conducting fluid in a rotating magnetic field. Velocity distributions of steady flow and rotating magnetic field are computed for a wide range of parameter values. Optimal parameter values corresponding to maximum relative velocity are determined. The results can be used in the optimal design of rotating-field MHD-devices.
