Aerial photography. Aerial-photographic equipment
Abstract
Optical systems of aerial cameras are examined along with methods for the determination of internal-orientation elements and lens distortions. Methods of optical and mechanical adjustment are presented, and attention is given to topographic and special-purpose cameras, with emphasis on different types of aerial systems and control equipment. Aerial photography in different ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum is considered, and such applications of aerial photography as aviation meteorology and the remote sensing of earth resources are discussed. Satellite-borne photography is also considered.
