Applied fluid dynamics
Abstract
The fundamentals of fluid dynamics are reviewed with reference to the basic definitions and equations of hydrostatics, kinematics, and dynamics of liquids and gases. Attention is given to the similarity theory, dimensional analysis, laminar and turbulent flows, flows through openings and nozzles, hydraulic design of pipelines, and basic equations of the gas dynamics of an elementary jet.
