Prediction of the turbulent round free jet, including fluctuating velocities correlations, by means of a simplified second-order closure scheme
Abstract
The turbulent round free jet characteristics, including the fluctuating velocities tangential and normal correlations, are predicted by means of a (K-epsilon)-model pulse a simplified algebraic second-order closure scheme. General tensor calculus is used to carry out the required coordinates systems transformations. The computed results are compared with Wygnanski and Fiedler's, and Rodi's experiments. The comparison is satisfactory.
